When you think of Jadyn Hailey, you probably think, "fairy queen." The Southern California native loves bold accessories, bright colors, vintage threads, and scouring the thrift (she recently spent $47 at a thrift store and *almost* had buyer's remorse until she realized how many cute pieces she got for under 50 bucks).

We caught up with this trendsetter so she could spill about blowing up as a creator on Instagram (and TikTok!), the fashion rule she always follows, and the challenges of growing a following on social media. Keep reading to learn everything you want to know about Jadyn Hailey.

On her personal style:

"I would describe my personal style to be always changing and evolving. I've never been someone to categorize my style to be strictly one style. Although, styles I often lean towards are the 2000s/Paris Hilton & Nicole Richie era, '90s supermodel, Harajuku style/ Fruits Mag and a mix of Fairy & Punk!"

On becoming an Instagram creator:

"Since I was younger, I have always loved fashion and dressing up. Summer of 2019, I started posting my everyday life and outfits I would wear throughout the week! I would post on Instagram as my main platform while posting on TikTok to direct exposure to my Instagram."

On the positives and negatives of a large following:

"My favorite thing about being an Instagram creator is definitely meeting my fairy followers in person! It makes me the happiest gal! The most challenging would be the business side of it, including posting approval, messaging back and forth with brands, posting guidelines, etc. Although it can be challenging, I’m so thankful to have the platform I have and I’m so lucky that my favorite hobby is my job!"

Jadyn Hailey's advice to those trying to build a following:

"My advice to smaller creators who are looking to build their platform is to stay true to yourself and be authentic! Just because something is trending doesn't mean you should necessarily hop on the trend! Post what is authentic to your brand, because that's what people want to see! Another important action to take when you're looking to grow your following is to engage with other creators! If you see another small creator who shares the same interests as you, take the initiative to reach out to them and together begin being active on each others' profile."
